Collective Point of Sale Complaints

Do not use Collective POS to process credit cards for your business. You will be disappointed and poor. We signed up at 1.59% and a fee from the credit card companies depending on the card type. After repeated inquiries regarding the % from the card companies, she always shrugged it off, said it was a small indeterminate amount and never put anything in writing. Within a year it crept up to over 4.25%. We were going to cut our loses and called them to cancel, got the story how they are sorry to see us go and that they would match any competitor's rates. We checked others and called her back hoping to salvage the $300 cancellation fee and the $700+ terminal which would be rendered useless going to another provider. They did not even get close. Our current processor for the past year charged 1/2 of what Collective POS charged. Please do not do business with these crooks and liars. Check out hundreds of other complaints on the BBB page or the web. We also found that it is just Collective that is overcharging, not First Data that actually processes their credit card transactions. It would be fulfilling to see First Data drop Collective. We are currently with First Data through another company. Thanks for reading.
